Abstract
Background. The condition of the UKS of SDN 01 Ketindan Lawang since the pandemic has not been maintained because it has not been used due to a long holiday for almost 2 years, the girls' room has 2 beds full of dust, as well as the boys' room also has 2 beds that appear to have never been cleaned, 1 guard room with 1 table and 2 chairs with a guard duty
schedule and a visit book for sick children, 1 bathroom that is not maintained, and 1 storage room for medical equipment that is not maintained, which functions as a warehouse and a collection place for used plastic cups. Efforts to achieve health can be done with health promotion and disease prevention, especially the diseases that most affect the community. Aim. To introduce healthy behavior through the UKS (School Health Unit) program which is engaged in health services and education, as well as the application of healthy living habits so that they can be applied in the environment around the school and the formation of a small doctor program to support UKS services by recruiting students who meet the criteria and are selected by teachers and have received training to participate in carrying out some of the efforts to maintain and improve health for themselves, friends, family, and the environment. Methods. The PKM implementation team conducted counseling on UKS, disease recognition, mild disease management, introduction to simple medical equipment, and simple wound care assistance. Results. After counseling and assistance to the little doctors, their knowledge about health, disease, disease management, introduction to simple tools, and their knowledge and skills on wound care increased.
