Abstract
Ecotourism as one of the most vulnerable industries because of its dependence on natural resources and climate, therefore proper governance is necessary. Correct governance starts from the correct paradigm in ecotourism management. The Research Group "Maritime and Border Area-Based Resilience" has the opportunity to help with proper ecotourism governance. For this reason, the objectives of this activity are: (1) to communicate the concept of ecotourism management by applying ecotourism principles, (2) to instill a new paradigm in ecotourism management as an effort to increase the resilience of coastal areas. This activity is carried out using a face-to-face approach in a meeting for the presentation of the concept of question and answer, discussion, and problem solving from case studies. In addition, direct survey assistance activities were carried out at ecotourism locations. The results of extension activities in planting ecotourism concepts or principles were welcomed by all village officials and ecotourism managers. Questions and answers and discussion in understanding the concept are well done.
