Early Detection on the Presence of Green Terror Andinoacara rivulatus (Günther, 1860) (Perciformes: Cichlidae) In Selorejo Reservoir, Malang
Main Article Content
Abstract
The presence of non-native species could bring disturbances to the livelihood of native fishes in Indonesia. Alien fish species that enters Indonesian Waters can cause hybridization, parasite transmission, as well as causing disturbances to the local food chain and native species extirpation that caused by copetition of food sources and predation. Early detection of alien fish species could give preliminary information on the existence of alien fish species, so the effect of the presence of this fish could be mitigated. This research aim is to describe the finding of the Green terror Andinoacara rivulatus (Günther, 1860), a fish species native to South America based on single specimen collected at September 2022 from Selorejo Reservoir, Malang, Indonesia.
