PENINGKATAN PERILAKU MASYARAKAT DALAM PENGGUNAAN KELAMBU ANTI NYAMUK DALAM MEMUTUS MATA RANTAI PENULARAN MALARIA DI DESA KEMUNING KECAMATAN TEGALOMBO KABUPATEN PACITAN

Abstract

Tegalombo District, Pacitan Regency is an area with the incidence of malaria suffered by patients who come from outside the region. Efforts that have been made by the Tagalombo Health Center to suppress the breeding of malaria vectors have been carried out such as larvaciding, spraying / Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) and physical control. The efforts that have been made have not shown maximum results, so other efforts need to be made in the form of prevention. Considering the behavior of malaria vectors sucking blood at night, the effort to cut off contact with mosquitoes is by sleeping with mosquito nets. The target of community service needs to be given knowledge of the life and bionomics of the Anopheles sp mosquito so that it can independently prevent the occurrence of malaria. This community service method is counseling and providing assistance with insecticide-treated mosquito nets. After receiving mosquito bionomic counseling, target knowledge increased by 27.1% which was obtained from the posttest results. Assistance with insecticide-treated mosquito nets is given to the target and knowledge of its maintenance is provided. It is hoped that the target of community service can provide similar knowledge to closest relatives as an effort to prevent the transmission of malaria in Tegalombo District, Pacitan Regency.
