Abstract

Marketing channel is the process of channeling products from producers to consumers. In the fishing industry, the distribution of catch involves several intermediary traders. The catch in question is mackerel, song and mackerel. This study was conducted with the aim of determining the pattern of channels and marketing margins of the three types of catches, which are superior commodities, pemalang. The margin represents the difference in price between consumers and producers. This study uses descriptive methods to describe the distribution patterns of catches. Marketing margin Analysis is calculated by the formula MP= Hj-Hb. Mackerel marketing found 3 channel patterns, where the first channel involves 3 intermediary traders with a total margin of Rp. 9.971 / kg, the second channel intermediary traders and a total margin of Rp. 7.147 / kg and the third channel involves 1 intermediary traders with a margin of Rp. 2.615 /kg. Fish song Marketing found 3 types of marketing channels. The first and second channels involve 1 intermediary trader with a total margin of Rp. 2.087/kg, and Rp. 2.388 /kg. The third channel involves 2 intermediary traders and a total margin of Rp. 4.670 /kg. Mackerel marketing found 3 marketing channels. The first and second channels involve 2 intermediary traders with a margin of Rp. 10.755 / kg, and Rp. 8.168/kg. The third channel involves 1 intermediary trader with a margin of Rp. 4168 / kg. Overall, the marketing of fish that is classified as efficient is the marketing of mackerel fish. The efficiency of marketing patterns is using the standard 5%. Marketing activities are classified as efficient if the value of marketing efficiency is below 5%.
