Abstract
East Kalimantan Province is one of the provinces that contributes to the national economy with a GRDP value in 2020 of 653 trillion. Economic growth occurs in east kalimantan but it is not enjoyed by most of the people of East Kalimantan, especially in rural areas. This study aims to determine the level of income disparity in East Kalimantan in the period 2015-2019 and to find the priority strategies to address the existing disparity. This research methode is a quantitative deductive research. To determine the level of disparity in East Kalimantan and its relationship, we use the Williamson index, Theill index, quadrant inequality analysis, GIS spatial analysis, Pearson correlation analysis and Kuznets hypothesis are used. Then, to find out the priority strategies for dealing with this imbalance, we use AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) analysis that is used with the help of expert voice software v11. Based on the above analysis, the results show that the level of disparity in East Kalimantan is based on the Williamson index of 0.578 which is categorized as high disparity, the Theil index with a value of 0.47 in the moderate disparity category and the Kuznets inverted U-curve hypothesis applies in the province of East Kalimantan for the 2015-2019 period. Then, based on AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) analysis with the help of expert voice software v11, it is known that the priority strategy for overcoming disparity in the province of East Kalimantan is to develop new economic centers.
