Abstract

Basically, education is an effort to deliver the man on the ladder more perfect, Guru as an introduction to achieve excellence in learning it must be a clear understanding of the purpose of learning, in order to achieve the learning objectives of the many ways you can do a teacher one teacher must be good to determine the model and the method suitable for use in learning so that with the appropriate models and methods expected of all students to be more enterprising and enthusiasm in learning and education with a perfect destination is reached. The observation of teacher of history and hear complaints from some teachers that administer a history lesson in mind that the method of teaching history to do in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Gondanglegi is normally done with a lecture and stories so that students feel bored and lazy to listen to and follow the lessons of history, the reason wasting time can even function as a bedtime story to finally sleep real class. This is due to the factors from the students themselves who considers the historical material is a material that is not important to learn as it contains only neighbor the past to be remembered not for study.


Therefore, the objective of this research are: (1) to determine the students' motivation by using models DOSTAS on material Islamic kingdom of Demak in Indonesia class XI IPS 1 MAN Gondanglegi Malang. (2) to determine the percentage of the students' motivation responses that include aspects of attention, relevance, confidence, satisfaction


This study design is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) with that kind of participatory collaborative participation between researcher and subject teachers. The method used to collect data is the method of observation / observation of learning activities in the learning process and student learning motivation questionnaire. Data collection is done in conjunction with learning activities through observation. Data on motivation to learn is taken through learning motivation questionnaire response model (ARCS). Data on the implementation of learning drawn from direct observation by the observer using observation sheet motivation to learn.


From the research by using questionnaires student motivation, learning models dostas shows increased student motivation towards the positive. seen that 80% of students responded positively, 13.33% of students responded very positively and 3.33% neutral. So it can be concluded that the learning model dostas on material influence Islamic kingdom in Indonesia is positive. In addition to showing a positive response on the motivation in general in motivation questionnaire also contained four indicators of attention, relevance, confidence, satisfaction. of the four indicators also showed positive response.
