Stakeholders' Motivation On the Gayo Ethnic Ecoregional Identity for the Development of Ecotourism in Bener Meriah District, Aceh Province.

Abstract
The current identity conflicts in various aspects have threatened the preservation of natural resources and regional cultural in various regions of Indonesia; including in ecotourism development. Therefore, new solutions and concepts are needed for the development of ecotourism, where the concepts of identity and ecotourism are recognized as important to be integrated to overcome the threat of the preservation of natural resources and local cultural for the development of ecotourism. Therefore, this study was conducted to see the phenomenon of stakeholder motivation for the gayo ethnic ecoregional identity for ecotourism development in Bener Meriah Regency, Aceh Province. The motivation assessment for ecoregional identity was analyzed using the One Score One Criteria System and the Spearman Rank correlation test. The results of the analysis show that the motivation of the stakeholder groups for the gayo ethnic ecoregional identity for ecotourism development results in the same ecoregional identity and is different between aspects and between stakeholder groups.The highest priority of all stakeholder groups tends to be ecoregional identity of regional superiority which is trending and of high economic value. This shows that the community has not fully understood the important values and importance of ecoregional identity for the development of ecotourism. This fact can have a negative impact in the form of changes or disturbances to other ecoregional identities which also have important values for the development of ecotourism. It is necessary to build a more comprehensive understanding so that the motivation of stakeholders for all ecoregional identities for ecotourism development can be maintained and enhanced
